Bye bye NYC, hello Bellingham

The weather outside is frightful….. but New York has been so delightful.

Hi guys,
Here’s a quick briefing of what has been going on these last couple of days, which have been cold an clouded. Sunday I arrived after a 7 hour flight(which is doable when you watch a lot of movies and series) at JFK Airport in NYC . After a thorough check at American ground we took a cab, yes, one like out of the movies, to our hotel. My first impression of New York was not that good. We had a pretty bumpy ride and everything looked kind of decayed. After we had settled everything and everyone had arrived we decided to grab a bite at a local restaurant.

The following days I went to do some sightseeing, 9/11 memorial centre, all Street, Rockefeller Centre, Times Square(which was my favourite ‘cause I got on a picture with the Naked Cowboy! Just kidding) and all those kinds of tourist attractions. The easy thing is that you can move from one place to another very easily by using the subway, so we got to do lots of sightseeing in these couple of days. The most impressive thing for me was when we went to see the statue of Liberty on Liberty Island. I’ve never thought it would actually be that big. From that Island you could also see the Skyline perfectly which was very beautiful, due to the weather I must say (one of the days we actually got to see some sunlight).

Madison Square Garden, the amazing theatre where we got to see America’s got talent and where we sat front row, right behind the judges Howie(don’t know) Mel B(Spice Girls) Heidi Klum(as we all know, international supermodel!) and Howard(also don’t know where he’s from actually). We got to see some funny, stupid and amazing acts. Although it was a very long sit including fake smiles and handclapping, I had fun.

Overall I had a great time in New York and now I’m on my way to Bellingham. Literally, we’re flying somewhere above Nevada right now while I’m typing this. Kind of nice, flight tracker on your screen, 42 minutes left to destination.
